Terra System

The Terra system is a planetary system in the [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth) made up of one mesoplanet, one terrestrial planet, two super-Earths, and one G-type star named Terra Nova. Located at the nexus of seven jump points, the system was first charted in SEY 2516 as part of [Project Far Star](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0qnNAD6YKa-project-far-star). It was quickly colonized upon the discovery that the third planet was naturally habitable, and one other planet was located in the green band. The lush and resource-rich planet [Terra (Terra III)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RL6ZrMrLNa-terra-terra-iii) became a hub of trade and culture, eventually growing in population and prominence to the point that its government was able to maintain a progressive stance even under the rule of the [Messers](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/V8gJ6ZwGqo-messer-era). It continues to be one of the most influential systems in the UEE. The [Transitionalist](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0OaylwDmvv-transitionalist-party) party, based on Terra, believes that the system should be the center of [Human](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Nwpnr6wa2-humans) government.
