Bremen System

The Bremen system is a planetary system in the [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth), consisting of a K-type main sequence star, one protoplanet, two terrestrial planets, and one ice giant. Discovered by explorer Bao Yun in SEY 2441 during the [Human Colonial Expansion Era (2380 - 2530)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0dQ4BjlQQm-human-colonial-expansion-era), the system saw slow development until the [Second Tevarin War (2603 - 2610)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/bE3rPrz3Pv-second-tevarin-war). The demand for military rations caused a population boom as much of [Rytif (Bremen II)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/R5pA7q691W-rytif-bremen-ii) was turned into a center of food production. After the war, immigration to the system sharply fell, and the population eventually returned to its pre-war level. Bremen came to prominence again in 2792, when it was revealed that [anti-Messer revolutionaries](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/bE3rKa32P7-anti-messer-revolution) had been using the system as a base of operations.
