MacArthur (Kilian V) is the fifth planet from the sun of the [Kilian system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0ODD4mY9aP-kilian-system), [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth), and serves as the main headquarters of the [UEE Navy](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RPDvKOpdP4-uee-navy). Soon after the planet was [terraformed](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/V3qgj8vjnj-terraforming) to [Human](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Nwpnr6wa2-humans) specifications, the Navy constructed boot camps (known locally as Forges), officer training programs, flight academies, medical centers, and other facilities there.
