Baker IV is the fourth planet from the suns of the [Baker system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/Rz2KGkv13N-baker-system), [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth). A terrestrial, coreless planet, it has no magnetic field, but many valuable mineral deposits. [Shubin Interstellar](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/V7gM8ZBodA-shubin-interstellar) maintains an outpost there named GIO. The planet is lightly populated by the overseers and workers of Shubin's mining operations.
