Ferron System

Discovered by Pali Laumet in SEY 2460, it was one of the wealthiest systems in the UEE until 2791, when [Linton Messer XI](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RwZBaD4Mdq-linton-messer-xi) accused its populace of harboring political dissidents. Wealthy [Citizens](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RLMmop8rkr-citizen) and Messer loyalists fled, taking large amounts of funds with them. Then, in 2832, [Shubin Interstellar](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/V7gM8ZBodA-shubin-interstellar) announced profit losses for the first time ever, signaling that most of Ferron's mineral resources were depleted. More businesses pulled out, triggering further economic devastation.
