Castor (Corel IV)

Castor (Corel IV) is a terrestrial, desert planet that sits at the far outer edge of the [Corel system's](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/R9vQnko7Y2-corel-system) green band, in the [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth). In 2651, [Corsen Messer V](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0OaB8O6awO-corsen-messer-v) ordered several companies to [terraform](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/V3qgj8vjnj-terraforming) the planet, so it could serve as an example of the capacity of [Human](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0Nwpnr6wa2-humans) technology. Though it was technically terraformed, the atmosphere is thin and the climate is almost intolerably cold. A handful of settlements dot Castor, primarily centered around deep ice-mining operations.
