Kiel IV

Kiel IV is a planet in the [Kiel system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/Var8kAJnaQ-kiel-system), [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth). A gas dwarf, it has a rocky core and a thick atmosphere of hydrogen, helium, and methane. The high concentration of methane gives it a striking deep blue color. In 2939, Senator Janna Thurville of [Severus (Kiel III)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/V3GOdL9lYN-severus-kiel-iii) wore a gown inspired by Kiel IV's coloration to the [Green Gala](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RX3Nr11PPk-imperial-arts-foundation), created by designer Dyna Lei.
