Min System

The Min system is an unclaimed system of four moons that orbit the rogue planet Min I. Discovered in SEY 2473 by the mining concern the [Hathor Group](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/R6v8Dg8o6a-hathor-group), it was a company secret until 2672, when the Hathor Group suffered a hack that leaked Min's location. Tall tales began to circulate among outlaw groups about a strange, sunless system haunted by glowing ghosts. Min's existence was officially revealed to the [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth) in 2702, when [Advocacy](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VDoP5pmODk-advocacy) agent Hiram Quereshi tracked a smuggling ring through the [Ellis](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RxnBEBWBjQ-ellis-system)-Min jump point. The UEE determined that the system was not worth developing and left it unclaimed. The only permanent settlement in Min was established on [Min 1b](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/R6dQvNNM7q-min-1b) by researchers, outlaws, and survivalists in 2816.
