Oretani Belt Alpha

The Oretani belt alpha is an asteroid belt in the lost [Oretani system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/bo1eNYWqqN-oretani-system). When [Turiya Terraforming](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VarGepjj5o-turiya-terraforming) surveyors discovered that many of the asteroids were rich in nitrogen, they established numerous agricultural stations to grow food for the thousands of workers living in space stations around [Oretani II](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VpMezplMwO-oretani-ii). When the only [jump point](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0rqzJPaMpY-jump-point) collapsed in 2485, many were hopeful that these farms could help those stranded in the system survive.
