Kyu'ām (La'uo III)

Kyu'ām (La'uo III) is the third planet from the sun of the [La'uo system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/R6demJ8Xmq-lauo-system), [Xi'an Empire (SaoXy'an)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0n96JkwNo9-xian-empire). A smog planet, it is enveloped in layers of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and sulfur dioxide. In the distant past, its surface was too dangerous to land a ship on due to the high-pressure atmosphere. Since the red giant in La'uo's center expanded and began to heat up the system, Kyu'ām's atmosphere has thinned and expanded, giving it the appearance of a miniature hot Jupiter.
