Sherman

Sherman is a settlement on [Cascom (Castra II)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0dXKkL9a9o-cascom-castra-ii), [United Empire of Earth (UEE)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VyvyKxy4v6-united-empire-of-earth). Originally built as a military landing base, it was constructed above the cloud line on a mountain to make it easier for atmospheric ships to launch or land. It was changed into a civilian town at the end of the [Xi'an-Human Cold War](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RXlLjDewkZ-xian-human-cold-war) (SEY 2530 - 2793), and is now a center for trade thanks to its port.
