Fortress Palm

The fortress palm is a genetically modified fruit-bearing tree with fan-shaped, palmate leaves. Additionally, it was made to be as resistant to pests as possible, with a thorny trunk detrimental to climbing and leaves that contain pain-causing alkaloids. Its fruit must be harvested via machinery or while wearing protective gear.
